Victorian elegance turns into classic style with this up-cycled skirt!
This gorgeous skirt is made from an antique, circa 1890's-1910's, skirt hem or trim in soft Ivory color lightweight (semi-opaque) cotton with reticulated or cutaway eyelets, flanked by self-colored embroideries and lined with cotton mesh net skinny panels. I took this piece of skirt trim and created a casing for the elastic by cutting a bias strip (from another piece of antique fabric) and stitching it onto the top line of mesh net. The elastic used is completely brand new, modern, and will last for years to come! This skirt is photographed both with, and without, a red petticoat underneath -not included in sale, sorry. The overall condition is excellent with a very mild/light slightly yellow stain that is hidden within the folds of the fabric and the hem line is slightly uneven due to the repurposing.
