Edwardian 1900's MUSEUM QUALITY silk jacquard afternoon blouse with lace

This example of the 'pigeon breast' or monobosom style, circa 1905-1910, comes in a spectacular palette of dusty, pale lavender, soft buttery yellow and powdery blue! The inner construction is made of a medium weight, stiff woven silk (see peplum). On top of this is the lavender silk fabric we see, with self-weave pattern of leaves. The high neck and squared off collar area consists of pale, buttery yellow mesh lace with hand-stitched french knot embroidery accents on the floral petals. This squared neckline is accented by an over-and-off the shoulder cut yoke, with powder blue color woven silk passementerie trim at edges. The sleeves are 3/4-length and feature large, ballooning sleeves that gather into tight cuffs, also trimmed with same passementerie detail. Bodice has center back hook + eye closure (this top is from before buttons were used in a practical sense!). Overall condition is excellent, strong and clean! (Like all my garments, this blouse has been professionally steam cleaned) There are a few tears to the mesh at neckline, there are weak/broken spots in the fabric weave, especially at shoulder area, there have been a few repairs to fabric at front right cuff and back left cuff (repairs are original to garment, not by me), the very little decorative loops at top edge of neckline have five missing plus two broken, and light fraying to passementerie trim at outer side of right cuff. I have done my best to provide pictures of all these flaws, however eBay's photo limit prevented me from posting all of them.
