This powerful paisley print dress is giving me secretary-chic-geek vibes...
From the hey day of Liz Claiborne's designing career, comes this paisley print secretary style dress in a rich, deep jewel tone palette -it should be noted that this print is an ornate and elegant, almost baroque version. This pure silk dress has a menswear-inspired wide lapel neckline and double-breasted style waist closure. The full length sleeves gather into crisp cuffs reminiscent of a man's dress shirt, but the ruching waist detail screams femininity. (So Working Woman, I could see Tess wearing it). Dress is pocketless and unlined -however a lining is not needed, as this dress is so smooth and soft to the touch, you might not want to wear anything underneath! The overall condition is excellent, with only flaw being a slight puckering to the fabric around the underarms (probably from stress to this area, as I had to reinforce some of the stitching as well). Labels read 'Liz Claiborne, size 6, made in Korea, 100% silk'.
Please note: dress has had original shoulder pads removed for cleaning. First photo shows dress with shoulder pads, second photograph shows dress without shoulder pads.
