Turn head and cross eyes with this OPTICAL ILLUSION print, vintage 1960's dress!
This dress is made from a medium-weight silk crepe fabric with fantastic linear rounds print, in black and white. I love that this dress is overall simplistic, yet still very loud and makes a statement! Neckline features an almost-backward seeming collar that folds over in front and wraps to points at the back side. Bust is darted, but otherwise no seams or fitted features, giving this dress a flapper-esque semi-sack silhouette -no waist line! But, the very, very best detail on this dress, may be found down at the hem: a self-fabric woven latticework runs across the print, giving the hem some 'noise'. Love it. Dress is lined with a light-to-medium weight acetate. Label reads 'Martin's, Brooklyn, Garden City, Babylon, Huntington' (small boutique-made dress). Only issues are a small hole repair and very light yellow staining at inner front collar/neckline, and original zipper was replaced and when the original stitching was taken out, some color transfer remained -see last pic).
