1950's - 60's Little black dress w/soutache & sequins by JOAN BARRIE 13

Don't let the 'Junior's' sizing style fool you, this dress is anything BUT made for a little girl. This ultra feminine, classic little black dress has some very lady-like details; the delicate ruching at the waistline (gives a slimming effect), the soutache ribbon overlay and the streams of sequins stretched throughout the bodice. This upper section of bodice has a shell pink (formerly known as 'nude') under layer for a faux hint of skin. The chiffon at waist and skirt is semi-sheer, light and airy -giving nice movement and sway. The skirt is lined in a medium weight black acetate fabric. The center back contains a metal zipper closure, along with hook + eye. The overall condition is near mint to excellent, with no flaws to note! One of the original ruching (gathering) stitches at front waist has been re-worked. The only labels read 'Styled by Joan Barrie, New York' and 'Size 13'.
