Get a sweet and youthful 1920's look, with this genuine flapper-era petite lady or young girl's dress...
This semi sheer dress is made from a lightweight cotton weave fabric, and has a drop waist silhouette. It is most likely homemade (due to all the unique little touches), and features a round neckline, short sleeves, and a triple tier skirt with scallop edge. The neckline has hand-embroidered floral design (almost like a necklace or wreath) in pink, white and green silk thread, while the sleeve cuffs and skirt tiers have dainty tatted lace trim. The gather-style waistline now has a lightweight silk ribbon tie in pink -not original to this dress, but vintage circa 1930's-40's. The back neck has a continuation of the embroidered design, and a three carved shell button upper back closure. The overall condition is excellent to very good, with a few small repairs, some pinhead sized holes remaining within the skirt, a noticeable repair to right shoulder area, and some spotting throughout. Please see photographs for full details. No labels or maker's marks present.
